WATCHTOWER STUDY EYE-OPENER!
by The Searcher inat the start of today'swatchtower study, i did a little mental exercise - every time the words 'god' or 'jehovah' appeared, i substituted them with the words, 'the organization'.. if you are going to a meeting today, try it, and see how very different (and truthful!
) the watchtower study becomes!

I don't believe the JWs will ever change and say the 144,000 is "symbolic"
by booker-t init will never happen.
because that will definitely be the "final nail" in their coffin.
jws will not stand for it any longer.

I have to disagree: over the past 3-4 years, I've had some serious discussions with fellow Witnesses about various false teachings of the Org, and most of them just point-blank refuse to accept what the Bible is plainly telling them, by spouting off the literature's convoluted reasoning. There are so many who cannot/will not think for themselves - all reasoning on the Scriptures must emanate from 'Mother'!!
On that basis, there will always be a hard-core majority who will accept virtually anything the GB says. If they can't grasp it, they'll just say to themselves, "Wait on Jehovah".
However, the one thing which would cause an exodus, (IMHO) is if the GB initiated a radical new policy to relieve the publishers of their hard-earned cash - either by guilt, intimidation, or a form of tithing.
Even I don't think they're that stupid!

How do you mentally switch off
by joe134cd inwhen i was first introducing myself to apostasy, i sincerley believed i could play both worlds.
at the time i wasn't happy been a witness, and i didn't like the people in my congregation, but i thought i could just stumble along.
with in 18 months of visiting my first apostate site, i had walked out of the kh.. what i have a hard time getting my head around are these people who can successfully play both worlds.

It definitely ain't easy - in fact, hand-on-heart, it is getting to be stomach churning at times. Some of the answer given by lovely bros & sis are evidence of how successful the Org's brainwashing is.
However, my light at the end of the tunnel is getting ever brighter, and my fade is going extremely well - so far!
And I refuse to go along with ANYTHING which I know is false - e.g. I will NOT be sharing in the distribution of invitations to an un-Scriptural non-event which has been perverted into a religious example of voyeurism!

The poison spreads further than I thought.
by quellycatface ini explained that i had da'd early december, due to many reasons, ie; paedophile cover-ups, doctrine, hypocrisy etc etc....... she said she would keep in touch and we'd meet up in february when we would be visiting her area.
i also asked for her df'd sister to get in touch.. guess what?
not a dicky bird.. i've seen on her facebook page that she she still has some very active witness mates, she obviously wants to stay friendly with.. i feel like i've been hurt all over again by this stupid ass cult that ruins good friendships totally.

Sometimes the indoctrination and fear is so great that people will instinctively sacrifice loved ones and friends, rather than offend their "gods" - the self-serving 'glorious ones' in the KH & at HQ!
Try and focus on the fact that THEY are the losers in all of this - not us! They've lost sincere friends, and are certainly no friends of God & Christ by blatantly and publicly rejecting Christ's command at John 13:35.
God help them all - they really are to be pitied for their blindness and subservience to their "idol", the GB!

When and where is the War in Heaven, supposedly?
by jam in1)when did this war breakout or did i miss it.. many commentators conclude that the battle between michael.
and the dragon occurs roughly at the start of the church age.. some even argue that the battleground is the church itself.. others say this scene describes the dispute between michael.
and satan for the body of moses (jude 9) or the long-ago.

A Bible fact which I find interesting - but don't have a clear explanation for - is this; why is is it that NOT ONE PERSON in the Scriptures was ever demon-possessed until Jesus came to earth and was preaching?

Profiling of an apostate
by joe134cd ini must admit when i was in, the idea i had of an apostate, was an angry bitter person who would picket out side a convention.
i was looking on jwservey and found on the respondents to a servey that 54% were either active members or fading members.
this made me wonder is the organisation underestimating the extent of apostasy.

Personally, I feel very strongly that the term 'apostate' is not accurate or fully descriptive enough to offer a justifiable defence - much like many of the weasel wordings we find ever-increasingly in the literature.
For all Witnesses who are either fading or already out, they should be described as "Apostate of JW. Org's Teachings" or AJWOT.
Why adopt the degrading one-word terminology applied to yourself by those who now detest you? Speak the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, and hit your accusers with it!

March Moooooodiness
by LouBelle ini had a fantastic february, went over my sales target by 121 %, did a fabulous school pull out feature (all on my own) wrote a couple of stories that got printed in the paper.
i was go go go in feb. then come march, work forces a technical error issue to arise regarding previous months sales (they don't want to pay me the full 10k) and in order to fight it - takes far too much stress so negotiated an agreement (settling on 7.2k).
that kind of took the wind out of my sails/sales, just haven't felt like selling again, went for another job interview, they offered exactly what i'm getting here and when i tried negotiating they haven't even had the ettiquette to return calls / emails.

Just an afterthought:
I once gave my teenage nephews two illustrations -
1) Just because you admire beautiful flowers, doesn't mean you want to pick them!
2) A guy can acknowledge that a Ferrari is a gorgeous car without wanting to steal it!
Sadly, many people (especially in the Org!) impute wrong motives to things we say.
